DISTRICT RELOCATES OFFICE..
1440 Kurre Lane - Cape Girardeau, Missouri
The operations offices for the Little River Drainage District has relocated to 1440 Kurre Lane in Cape Girardeau. Just off North Kingshigway, the offices are in a building previously occupied by Capaha Realty.
For many years the office was located in downtown Cape in the old H&H Building on Broadway. The new facility gives them more parking and easier access location.
The agency oversees numerous and intricate drainage canals and levees throughout the boot heel of Missouri. The government sponsored project began after the turn of the century with it's purpose to drain millions of acres of swamp land and convert it to usable farming and grasslands.
