SIGNATURE PACKAGING TO

OPEN PLANT IN JACKSON

Signature Packaging in Jackson's Industrial Park

Signature Packaging and Paper LLC., with headquarters in Conyers, Ga., will build an 80,000 square foot corrugated box plant at 1302 Lenco in Jackson, near American Railcar and the Coca-Cola distributorship.

The new plant, the second for the company will create over 40 new jobs for the Southeast Missouri area.  The company had been looking for some time to locate in the area.

The manufacturing plant will support Procter & Gamble's diaper line, working exclusively at first with P&G to create retail boxes, said Dennis  Vinson, the companies CEO and President, who has moved here from the Atlanta area.. Eventually, the company hopes to attract other customers from across the Midwest.

The new plant is being built by Penzel Construction Co. and will have an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing area with 4,700 square feet of administrative offices. The Penzel family owns the property and will lease it to Signature. By design, Vinson said, the facility allows for an additional 160,000 square feet for future expansion.
