NEW NORTH SCOTT COUNTY
AMBULANCE FACILITY TO BE BUILT...
A new building to house a unit of the North Scott County Ambulance District is already under construction just South of Scott City along State Highway 61. District officials cite the frequent traffic problems around the Scott City I-55 interchange as the motivating factor to re-locate the facility and the new location will make it easier to get to other parts of the county.
With a projected completion date of June of 2001, the new building estimated to cost $266,000 will be a welcome addition to upgrading the district's facilities. Presently located in the Scott City Fire Station in the East part of the City, the ambulance district also has a headquarters station on Highway 77, just outside Chaffee.
