Who is Tom Kelsey?
A Cape Girardeau area native, Tom obtained his Missouri Real Estate broker's license in 1974 and has pursued this exciting and ever changing profession ever since. Even prior to becoming officially licensed, he grew up around construction and real estate transactions since his father was a residential developer, general contractor and RealtorŪ.
Kelsey worked in his family's real estate brokerage firm and related enterprises until 1993. At that time, he accepted the position of corporate broker of real estate services with Health Services Corporation of America (now Medasssets) in Cape Girardeau. The following year, an affiliated company, Lorimont Place, Ltd., a commercial real estate brokerage company was formed. Today, he serves as President and designated broker of Lorimont. This Cape Girardeau company has established itself as one of the leading real estate commercial brokerage firms in Southeast Missouri.
Even after 32 years, Tom continues to enjoy the challenges of working with business clients and various types of properties. He is pleased to be part of an area that has experienced an explosion of growth in recent years. Site selection projects, consulting and general sales and leasing continues to be a rewarding field. He has consistently received the RealtorŪ Achievement Award for multi-million dollar sales and lease productions since the award's inception in 1996.
In addition to his brokerage and community activities, Tom has also added reporting regional business news on his website, tomkelsey.com, a web forum of keeping up to date with the latest addition of businesses and planned activity to the area.
He is a member of the National, State and Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors, Realtors Commercial Alliance, Realtors Multi-List, Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce and is currently serving as an advisor for comprehensive planning for the City of Cape Girardeau.
